2011 | Licensed To Swing(CDPRO 9)The Orchestra's repertoire has been shaken again - not stirred! The best 1920s and 30s tunes are the simple ingredients for that cocktail. Singer and bandleader Duncan Galloway produced this 10th album on the orchestra's own label Pasadena Records and describes the recipe of this fine cocktail as follows: 'take some superb arrangements, add a dash of hot jazz, and a slice of integrity, and then just enjoy some great music from this period.' The album includes 11 so far unrecorded tracks taken from the orchestra's current repertoire. more |

2011 | The Christmas Album(CDPRO10)CD Album no. 11 on Pasadena Records! But after all these years the first Christmas Album. In this respect it might be fair to say that this project was a little overdue! A little research into seasonal songs from the 20s, 30s and 40s revealed a wealth of material. Some of these tracks will be very familiar, others not so. 'It's Winter Again' or 'I'm Going Home For Christmas', for example would be a welcome 'new' addition to a Christmas playlist. One highlight on the album is a Simon Townley inspired 'Christmas Stomp' - if you can spot all the tunes in this one, you can win an extra mince pie. The album was produced by singer and bandleader Duncan Galloway and recorded, mixed and edited at the renowned Bauer Studios in Germany. more |
